Kruger Park & Lowveld

8 days, 7 nights


Fly from George to Johannesburg and per bus from there. Overnight 4 nights within the Kruger Park! Spend a total of 5 days in the Park and furthermore visit the awesome Lowveld area, which include: Blyde River, 3 Rondavels, “God’s Window”, Potholes & some waterfalls.

Day 1

Fly from George to O.R. Thambo/Johannesburg International. Travel along the N4, past Witbank, Middelburg and Belfast. Continue via Nelspruit to Hectorspruit to overnight.

Day 2

Route via Komatipoort. We are entering the Kruger Park at Crocodile gate. We travel short distances for the next few days, to explore and enjoy the animals that we may come across, with every photo stop that you may need! Late afternoon arrival at Skukuza Camp, (2 nights) – largest camp in the Kruger Park, on the banks of the Sabie River.

Day 3

Game drive at the crack of dawn (6 am, ±2 hours). Enjoy the Park and the game that we may come across, before returning to our camp to have breakfast. Explore the area in search of  animals, birds and reptiles in their natural habitat.  Sunset dam is a must! – always something to see here: crocodiles, hippos, impala and other buck, a variety of birds & even more! Travel along the Sabie River. Stop wherever possible, to experience what the Park has to offer! Another night at Skukuza camp, on the banks of the Sabie River.

Day 4

Every animal and bird is a highlight. We stop as often as possible to give you the opportunity to capture these precious moments & experiences in your heart and perhaps even on camera! Our route takes us north. Tshokwane is a picnic site with restaurant – Ideal spot to stretch legs and use the bathroom facilities. Final stop for the day will be at Satara Camp, to overnight for another 2 nights!

Day 5

Another game drive at the crack of dawn (6 am, ±2 hours). Enjoy the Park and  game that we may come across, before returning to our camp to have breakfast. Explore in a different direction. Enjoy the day as it unfolds and return   to Satara in the late afternoon.

Day 6

Cruise along, with plenty photo stops. Experience all animals or other interesting creatures that we may come across. In the afternoon it is time to say goodbye to Kruger Park. Leave via Orpen gate. Although we are outside the boundaries of the Park, this is a beautiful area! Late afternoon arrival at Swadini, outstanding resort of  Forever Resorts,  in Blyde River area.

Day 7

Explore the beautiful Panoramic Lowveld area.  Travel through J.G. Strijdom tunnel and Abel Erasmus pass, along Blyde River Canyon, untill we reach the viewpoint from where “Three Rondavels” can be seen.  “God’s Window” is next in line – from here you can see for miles and miles , almost “into the future”, on a clear day. Visit the “Pinnacle”, a huge “pillar” that rises from the floor in die Blyde River Canyon. Awesome vegetation!  Bourke’s Luck Potholes is very unique, where we’ll spend some time! Lovely waterfalls can be seen in this area, worth a visit! – visit Berlin and Lisbon falls. Our route  is via Graskop  and Sabie, onto N4 via Nelspruit to Hectorspruit for our last overnight.

Day 8

Return home. Travel along N4, past Belfast, Middelburg and Witbank to  O.R. Thambo / JHB Airport.
