Ever popular Namaqualand flowers!

Highlights: Augrabies falls, Springbok area, Skilpad Reserve, Nieuwoudtville (BULB CAPITAL), Quiver tree forest & waterfall, Succulent nursery (Van Rhynsdorp), Clanwilliam, Club Mykonos, “Tietiesbaai”, West Coast Park (Postberg).

Day 1

Depart Mossel Bay, George & Oudtshoorn. Proceed along picturesque Meiringspoort to Prince Albert. Continue our journey to Leeu Gamka and then onto route R353 via Fraserburg & Williston, to  Calvinia to overnight.

Day 2

Our route stretches via Brandvlei and Grootvloer to Kenhardt and then via Keimoes and Kakamas to visit the spectacular Augrabies falls! Explore the falls from a number of view points. Return to Kakamas to overnight.

Day 3

Pop in at Pofadder followed by an interesting visit to Pella, an oasis in this barren country. Visit Nababeep, usually a display of orange flowers & then on to Okiep to look for more flowers. Overnight Springbok.

Day 4

Explore Springbok area.Visit Goegap Reserve – interesting granite hillocks – drive through the reserve, normally a display of Mother Nature’s wild flowers, we may even see springbok and gemsbok! Our route takes us south on the N7. Visit Kamieskroon & Skilpad Reserve – beautiful flowers in this region. From here to Garies and Bitterfontein. Finally reach Van Rhynsdorp, our next overnight stop (2 nights).

Day 5

Up the spectacular Van Rhyns Pass towards Nieuwoudtville (BULB CAPITAL). Visit the southernmost Quiver tree forest, as well as the picturesque waterfall.

Enjoy delicious pancakes and tea at their Church hall. 

Spend some time at “Matjiesfontein” farm, normally a display of wild flowers!

Visit the historical sandstone church before returning to Van Rhynsdorp.

Day 6

Visit the impressive succulent nursery.

Not to be missed: Ramskop Nature Reserve in Clanwilliam,   Proceed via Graafwater. Elands Bay is next in line. From here to Velddrift.

Langebaan’s Club Mykonos will be our host for the next 2 nights. West Coast hospitality at Boesmanland Farm Kitchen, who will entertain us to dinner – a feast awaits us!

Day 7

Visit Paternoster and legendary Tietiesbaai. 

Explore the West Coast area for more flowers. Visit West Coast National Park and Postberg Nature Reserve. Lovely flowers to be seen in this Reserve, as well as game, like eland, zebra, springbok & kudu.

Overnight Club Mykonos. 

Day 8

Our route takes us via Darling & Malmesbury  towards Wellington. Proceed with the N1, via Huguenot tunnel to Worcester

Next is Robertson & Ashton, followed by Swellendam where we link up with N2.

Last stretch via Heidelberg, Riversdale to Mossel Bay & George.
